The PeaPod Plus is your child's own portable bedroom. View larger. |
It's so lightweight even your child can carry it. View larger. | Safe, Comfortable Bedtime on the Go The PeaPod P201 is a lightweight sleeping tent, which comes with an inflatable air mattress to keep your child's bedtime comfortable. An air pump is included. The mattress fits snugly inside the sleeping tent "pod," which features a wraparound mesh canopy with a wide, zippered opening to give parents quick and easy access, or to allow an older child to crawl in and out easily. Your child can nap in comfort outdoors, thanks to the canopy's UV protection and to a wide windscreen. The pod also includes a washable sleeping bag that can double as a sleeping pad. Travel Light The last thing you need while you're traveling with a baby or young child is to lug a lot of extra luggage around. Rather than packing a Pack'n'Play or a folding bassinet, which are cumbersome and heavy, simply pack the ultra-light, super-compact PeaPod away in your suitcase. At 19 x 6.5 x 19 inches (LxWxH) when closed, it takes up little space, and it comes with a carrying case for easy portability. And at 52.5 x 34 x 25 inches (LxWxH) when open, the PeaPod will take up little space once you reach your destination. The PeaPod is also designed to open and fold shut quickly and easily. Other than the included air pump for quickly inflating the small mattress, no tools are needed: simply follow the directions to "snap" it into its standing position, and fold it back down quickly when finished. So whether you're traveling across the country, making a weekend trip to the beach, or simply spending the day at a friend's house, the PeaPod Portable Travel Bed makes it super-easy and convenient for baby to sleep comfortably and safely while on the go.

For short trips across town when nap time nears, or long cross country vacations, the PeaPod Plus becomes your child's own portable bedroom. And it's so lightweight even your child can carry it. Features: - The inflatable air mattress helps protect from cold, hard surfaces (inside or out) and provides a comfortable place to sleep or play
- Great for outdoors because of its UV protection and adjustable wind screens
- Sleeping bag unzips completely to form a one piece sleeping pad
- A large front zipper panel allows parents quick access to infants or easy in/out for older kids
- The slick, easy to fold design makes it ideal for storage and use at a moment's notice
- Open Dimensions: 52.5"L x 34"W x 25"H

It's perfect for my toddler July 29, 2010 Joy Gravestock I love it! My almost-two-year-old loves it and prefers it over his bed. The air mattress is great and the tent is well-made. My only complaint is that the sleeping bag isn't that warm and it slides like crazy on the tent floor. I wish there were a way to fasten the sleeping bag to the tent so it stayed in place. What two year old stays still when they sleep? (Not mine, for sure). Aside from that, I love it, and will most likely come up with a way to fasten the sleeping bag down myself.
Good alternative to travel cribs July 14, 2010 Frenchie in TN (Clarksville, TN) This is a compact, light, neatly designed travel tent. It pops open in a split second and takes no time to fold after a little practice (takes less than 2 minutes to figure it out). It comes with an inflatable mattress that fits right underneath the bottom of the tent to ensure decent comfort to your kid. All the windows and door have their own mosquito net. It is spacious enough that it could accommodate a child up to 4-5 year old. It also comes with a sleeping bag and a hand pump for the mattress. Everything fits in a carrying bag that is probably small enough to be allowed on a plane.
On the down side, the air mattress and pump seem a little cheap (the mattress had a hole right out of the box in mine). It's probably not a big deal since it's only for occasional use. However, I can't see myself setting the tent outside given the problem I had with the hole in the mattress. The only real drawback that I can think of with this travel tent is the price: $85. Granted it's cheaper than most travel beds/cribs out there but it is still pretty steep for a kid tent with a cheap air mattress and hand pump!
We love this July 13, 2010 Johnd451 We were planning a big trip and were stressed out about taking our 1 year old on such a big trip. As soon as we received the pea pod plus she started sleeping in it to get used to it and loved it. This relieved at least some of the stress of traveling with a young child. We are currently on the trip and it has been even better than I thought it would be, it is very easy to put up and take down, and fits easily in a large suitcase. In short, this is probably the best thing we have purchased for the babe.
Replaces the Need for a Pack-n-Play July 12, 2010 J. B. Mortensen The moment we received this product, we set it up and let our three year old daughter play with it. She loved it! We originally bought this product to take with us overseas once we travel to adopt. In the meantime, our three year old daughter used it on vacation instead of lugging the large and heavy pack-n-play. She even enjoyed playing quietly inside once she woke up in the morning. It has everything you need to make it comfortable for your child: a sleeping bag, inflatable mattress with pump, block out shades and screens for visibility all in a light weight tote. We purchased the PeaPod Plus Travel Bed because a friend's one year old son was already outgrowing the smaller PeaPod. We highly recommend this product and hope that our two children will get lots of use out this ingenious product.
This Bed is the BOMB!!! July 11, 2010 Quatman We purchased this bed on a whim in preparation for a seven week trip to several states and many stops. We were very concerned about our 2.5 year old. He is out of crib at home, really too big for a pack and play, and has a tendency to wander at night out of his big boy bed.
The tent bed has been sooooo great. We introduced it to him long before we went away. We showed him pictures and said, "Oh ______, are you going to sleep in the red tent bed?" He pretty willingly got in the first night and has been happy ever since. A little reticent at first, but now, several weeks in, he is a pro. A few nights, when he has been tired, he has climbed in himself.
I was afraid that the blow up mattress would be cheesy, but has proven to be most sturdy. The pump is a little hokey; I found blowing it up by mouth much easier. But the truth is, most nights we didn't deflate the mattress, we just tossed it into the back of the suv, and we were off. For the plane, it packed nice and small. We carried it on board, and gate checked it along with the stroller and car booster seat.
The spring loaded frame is very VERY easy to pack up. This was a great purchase. It has given our little one his own little personal space that we have brought from place to place and has made our travels very easy.
