Not worth the money! June 24, 2010 Michele Lehane (Arizona) I bought this item because it is fully enclosed (for a restless toddler) and had such good reviews. First off, the set-up seems pretty easy at first, but after five nights in five different places I was actually dreading the evening set-up! It's tedious and does NOT get easier with time. Most shocking was the discoloration of my son's pacifiers. After five nights in the bed, the nipple turned RED from the material of the crib!!! (he only has the paci while in bed) I am seriously considering NEVER using this bed again for fear of just what that red dye can do! I wish I had bought the Peapod instead!
This is NOT full size - not even close May 14, 2010 jennifer_76 (Jeffersonville, IN, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the P&T Traveller specifically because they advertise it as a "full size crib." What a joke. It is nowhere near full size. It's much, much narrower than the PNP travel crib. The only thing 'full size' about it is, perhaps, the length. But there's no way my son, who is not quite 2, would sleep for very long in it. I'm assuming the dimensions they provide on the site are measuring from the ends of each of the feet. Unfortunately that does not cover the full amount of sleeping room. The only two benefits to this crib are it's weight (it is super light) and the full enclosure capability - which is great if you want to use it outside.
frustrating but worth the effor May 10, 2010 C. Ockey (new york city) pros: light, easy to carry travel bed. having been a graco afficionado, I can easily say that is this much much much more convenient for travel.
cons: it is extremely frustrating to put together. it is definitely not quick or easy like phil and ted's would have you believe!!! the directions are unclear, the pictures are pointless. and I have put together lots of ikea furniture so I think I know my way around putting stuff together.
Wonderful Travel Crib April 24, 2010 TammyG 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my child to stay over and take trips. Wonderful crib. Easy assembly. My son loves sleeping and playing in it.
Just put your kid to sleep on the floor, it's the same thing April 20, 2010 MMAM (Chicago, IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My husband and I share a lake house with several family members and I thought this crib would be a great addition as all of our families grow, but there are just too many cons. When you can actually wrestle all the parts back into the provided bag to store without popping the zipper, it takes up very little room, but that's the only entry on the pro list. It's difficult to assemble and the directions are not clear. In just this past year, I have successful put together a wooden crib, a changing table and 2 bookcases solo, so I'm not kidding when I say snapping a few pieces together is no small task, it's a 2 person job. There's a difference between light-weight and flimsy, and this crib is flimsy. The self inflating mattress did not inflate, but you can blow it up yourself. Once it was successfully put together my husband and I bet on how long it would take for our 15-month-old to knock the whole thing over! He's an easy going kid so at bedtime we put him down without difficulty and went back the adults still awake, but he didn't sleep long. The fabric is like the shell of a sleeping bag and so noisy that it woke me up, in the next room, and woke him up. The next night I removed the mattress and wrapped a sheet around it and placed it inside the crib instead of in the zippered pouch. The last thing I'll complain about is that there is nothing supporting the bed off the floor. Once we place my son in the crib, we realized he was laying on the floor, with just the 1/4" mattress supporting him, so we thought maybe he was too heavy and placed my 15 pound neice in the crib and same thing. This crib is not supported off the floor like the pictures show. I hate this crib and considering the price and that I feel like I have to use it for something, I will end up using in the backyard to hold toys. It's not worth the price.
