 Not bad at all! August 22, 2010

I bought this dresser for my baby girl. I haven't been able to use it continuously yet, since she's not due to be born for another month. At 8 1/2 months pregnant, I was able to start putting it together myself...but towards the end, thank goodness for my roommate and her friend, I got tired and they finished the rest with little to no problems. All in all, it took about 2 1/2-3 hours to put it together.
I bought the Delta Shelby crib (in the color expresso) from Amazon.com and unfortunately, the same company doesn't make a matching dresser, so I went to Amazon.com and started reading reviews about dressers close to the same color as my crib. Fortunately, I found a review from someone who recommended this dresser as a close match to the Shelby crib. I was a little nervous, but it actually did match closer than I thought it would. The crib is a little shinier than the dresser though.
I didn't give it the full 5 stars for 2 reasons: 1) The directions were a tad bit hard to understand; especially since none of the dresser pieces have stickers or easily identifiable markings, and the instructions are in black and white (color would be so much easier to understand when they explain the different parts and where they go). 2) It scratches easier than I thought it would, being that type of grain.
All in all, it's a beautiful piece of furniture, and very sturdy. I look forward to using it for years to come!

I found this wasn't bad putting together, took me 1 1/2 hours, and you need space to work. Color matches crib perfectly.

I would not ever buy this product again. We purchased this piece of furniture in February and it is July and the dresser has completely fallen apart. I imagine that the people who like this product have only put baby clothes on it. I have this dresser for my baby and 3 year old to share and it doesn't do well with toddler clothes. It is not kid friendly! You will disappointed if you buy this product when you begin to use it for anything other than infant clothes. This product is not made to last long.

I would not recommend this dresser to anyone. We bought it for our baby's nursery and although the color is true to the picture the quality is horrible. The instructions were poorly written with numerous errors, the pieces of wood were not labeled and certain pieces in the manual were listed several times with differnt letter descriptions. Once my husband put this together, the whole dresser swayed back and forth. He had to take the entire dresser apart and wood glue it together. The drawers are not smooth, in fact they started to fall apart as well so we had to glue them together. Lastly, 3 of the drawer knobs did not have the right size screw, so we hadto go out and buy new screws that would fit, figured it would be alot easier than calling Storkcraft directly. Do youself a favor and save yourself some aggrevation-- do not buy this dresser!

This dresser was for our nursery and it is the perfect fit and quality for a baby/child room. It would look odd in a master bedroom. There were a lot of screws and probably more than anything we have ever self assembeled. The wood color is true espresso and it matches our crib exactly from a high end baby furniture store. I would recommend this and would purchase again.
