Great Eco Friendly Crib July 13, 2010 Patricia S. We bought this crib for our first baby who is coming in early December. We wanted to buy the crib early so it would have time to off-gas. Not only did the crib come in perfect condition, was extremely easy to put together, but it also didn't have that smell to it that most products do today. Perhaps that's because of it's water based stain. I love that this crib is made from sustainable wood, makes me feel even better about putting our baby in it. Very pleased with our purchase of the Graco Eco Friendly Crib.
Great eco-friendly crib July 9, 2010 Rachel Murphy (Racine, WI) Bought this crib with matching changing table because they're eco-friendly. Both were easy to assemble and look great in nursery.
Great Crib! June 27, 2010 Emmilu36 We ordered this crib to replace our son's hand-me-down crib that was on the latest recall list. It was very easy to put together and sturdy when finished, I did it by myself in less than an hour. It doesn't take up a lot of space in our kids' shared room, and the color is nice. I love fact that it is eco-friendly, even down to the packaging. The price was great, and we even got free overnight delivery with Amazon Prime!
Incredible Value June 11, 2010 L. Gillanders i needed a second crib with a nice small footprint for my tiny nursery that would convert to a toddler bed. this is it! i didn't have room for a big fancy crib, i needed it to be simple in design to compliment the other crib that i have. it is very easy to put together and it is sturdy and functional. i still don't really understand how it is going to convert to a toddler bed, they say "guard rail not needed", so are they just saying that the mattress can be so low to the ground that it doesn't matter if your toddler falls out? i guess we'll see how that goes when the time comes!
the colour is perfect for us. i read many reviews saying that the colour was way different than the photos. i didn't find that to be true. it is certainly not an "espresso" stain, but it didn't claim to be. it is a dark walnut. i have the stokke changetable in dark walnut and so i was looking to get a crib that would coordinate with that. this dakota crib is perfect!! it's practically a perfect match to the stokke colour except that it has a little more yellow in it. yes, it is just pine wood so it is not as hard and wear-resistant as hardwood. this crib is quite easily dented i find.
anyways, for the price and for what i needed space-wise and esthetically, it suited us perfectly.
Sturdy, beautiful, reasonably priced eco-friendly crib! June 9, 2010 E. Stafford (Somerville, MA) I was looking for a wood crib that was eco-friendly. Was so happy to find this Graco version since most wood cribs that use sustainably harvested wood, etc., are outrageously expensive. The Dakota is easy to assemble, sturdy, and beautiful. My 6-month old baby son loves it, too! He is so comfy-cozy in it, and I am comfy-cozy knowing that I have done my small part to protect the environment and my son's health. No offgassing with this crib! I am completely happy with this crib and have no reservations whatsoever in recommending it. What a great buy!
Note: I also bought the L.A. Baby Organic Mattress, and it fits perfectly.
